Full job description

Contribute to a team developing and supporting optimization and forecasting software for inventory management, planning, and campaign delivery. Apply mathematical programming and machine learning techniques including tree-based models, linear and logistic regression, and time series models. Use Python, scikit-learn, Git, SQL, Spark, and TensorFlow. Develop data pipelines, train and deploy machine learning models, and create technical documentation. Requires a Master's degree in a relevant field and 1 year of experience with machine learning, Python programming, Git, SQL, time series forecasting, and distributed computing frameworks. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

What you'll do

  • Develop and support optimization and forecasting solutions for inventory management, planning, and campaign delivery software
  • Apply mathematical programming techniques including linear and mixed integer programming and decomposition
  • Use machine learning techniques such as tree-based models, linear and logistic regression, and time series models
  • Create models using scikit-learn
  • Perform statistical modeling to determine best modeling techniques
  • Program in Python and manage code with Git
  • Perform time series forecasting
  • Manage relational databases and analyze data using SQL
  • Perform distributed computing using Spark and TensorFlow
  • Implement, refine, and validate machine learning algorithms for products and applications
  • Develop data pipelines including data ingest, validation, cleaning, and monitoring
  • Train, validate, and deploy machine learning models into production
  • Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements
  • Create patents including APIs and other intellectual property
  • Test and evaluate solutions from internal and external partners and vendors
  • Complete case studies, testing, and reporting
  • Design proof of concept solutions and contribute to future product/application development
  • Collaborate with teams outside immediate work group
  • Represent the team in providing solutions to technical issues

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related technical/quantitative field
  • 1 year experience using machine learning techniques including tree-based models, linear and logistic regression
  • Experience using scikit-learn or similar packages to create models
  • Experience performing statistical modeling including clustering algorithms or linear/logistic regression
  • Programming experience in Python
  • Code management experience using Git
  • 6 months experience performing time series forecasting
  • Experience analyzing data using SQL
  • Experience performing distributed computing using Spark, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks
