Full job description

Seeking a Test Lead for Martech Platforms with expertise in test automation using Python and Playwright. Responsibilities include leading a testing team, developing test plans, building scalable automation frameworks, performing SQL data validation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requires 7+ years of software testing experience, proficiency in automation tools, strong database and DevOps skills, and familiarity with digital marketing platforms. Preferred experience includes AI/ML frameworks, data privacy regulations, and consulting in martech projects. Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

What you'll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of testers
  • Assign tasks based on skills and development areas
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Ensure coverage of functional and non-functional requirements
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Python and Playwright
  • Extend and optimize existing automation suites to improve coverage and efficiency
  • Track test progress and report results, defects, and deviations
  • Use advanced SQL to query databases for data validation and testing
  • Identify, document, and prioritize defects
  • Work closely with development teams for defect resolution and re-testing
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies in AI, automation, and martech
  • Mentor junior developers and promote continuous learning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software testing including manual and automated testing
  • Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies, estimations, tools, and processes
  • Proficiency in test automation tools including Python, Playwright, PyTest/BDD/Keyword driven/Robot framework
  • Experience with performance and security testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, OWASP tools) is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong database skills including SQL, PL/SQL, Data Warehousing concepts, ETL
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, VSTS)
  • Exposure to digital marketing platforms, customer data platforms (CDPs), or loyalty systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence
  • Preferred: Strong ETL and Data warehousing skills/experience
  • Preferred: Experience with AI/ML frameworks (scikit-learn, AWS AI services, or similar)
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Digital Marketing platforms (Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, GCP)
  • Preferred: Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and ethical AI practices
  • Preferred: Consulting experience or client-facing roles in martech or digital transformation projects
