Full job description

Provide technical leadership to a team developing data products using Golang and Python. Write SQL queries for data exploration in Clickhouse and query data using Snowflake. Deploy data products to AWS cloud platform including EKS, EMR, RDS, and S3. Schedule and monitor workflows using Airflow. Develop dashboards using Looker. Perform version control using GitHub and build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. Monitor and alert applications using Grafana. Plan and design new software and web applications. Analyze, test, and assist with integration of new applications. Oversee documentation and train personnel. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements. Conduct integration analysis. Support and customize applications. Develop software update processes and assist in software releases. Research and write technical documentation. Keep current with industry technology. Work with QA to ensure application specifications. Test systems and components. Act as technical liaison for vendors and customers. Present and defend technical choices. Position allows remote work one or more days per week per company policy.

  • Train non-technical personnel and junior engineers
  • Assist with tracking performance metrics
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
  • Conduct analysis to determine integration needs
  • Support applications under development and customize current applications
  • Develop software update processes and assist in software release roll-outs
  • Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements
  • Keep current with technological developments and monitor competitive applications
  • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure applications fit specifications
  • Test and evaluate systems, subsystems, and components
  • Act as technical contact and liaison for vendors and customers
  • Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 7 years of experience developing data products using Golang and Python
  • 5 years experience writing SQL queries for data exploration in Clickhouse
  • Experience querying data using Snowflake
  • Experience deploying data products to AWS cloud platform including EKS, EMR, RDS, and S3
  • Experience scheduling and monitoring workflows using Airflow
  • Experience developing dashboards using Looker
  • Experience performing version control using GitHub
  • 2 years experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Experience performing application monitoring and alerting using Grafana
