Lead Software Engineer-0773

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications
• Work on ad tech systems including ad-serving data indexing engines, ad selection algorithms, and audience targeting pipelines
• Optimize relational and NoSQL databases through schema design, efficient queries, and cache tuning
• Use profiling tools and custom benchmarks to diagnose and optimize CPU, memory, and I/O performance issues
• Architect and develop scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux for high-throughput workloads
• Architect, implement, and optimize core services across distributed infrastructure to improve throughput, reliability, and efficiency
• Use cloud-native tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and AWS services (ELB, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis)
• Collaborate with SRE/DevOps teams to instrument systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Loki stack
• Support applications under development and customize current applications
• Assist with software update processes and roll-outs of software releases
• Analyze, test, and assist with integration of new applications
• Document development activities and write technical documentation including designs, evaluation plans, test results, manuals, and reports
• Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products
• Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to assigned projects
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
• Conduct analysis to determine integration needs
• Work with Quality Assurance to ensure applications meet specifications and technical requirements
• Guide and mentor junior-level engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 7 years experience developing software for ad tech systems including ad-serving data indexing engines, ad selection algorithms, and audience targeting pipelines
• Experience caching and optimizing relational databases including MySQL and Aurora
• Experience with NoSQL databases including Aerospike, DynamoDB, ETCD, Neo4J, and RocksDB
• Experience using sanitizer, perf, and gprof profiling tools for performance tuning
• Experience architecting and developing scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux
• Experience performing end to end system design and optimization
• 5 years experience using cloud-native tools including Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• 5 years experience with AWS services including ELB, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, and Kinesis
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Loki stack
