Provide technical leadership in designing and developing software and web applications for ad tech systems including ad-serving data indexing engines, ad selection algorithms, and audience targeting pipelines. Optimize relational (MySQL, Aurora) and NoSQL (Aerospike, DynamoDB, ETCD, Neo4J, RocksDB) databases through schema design, query optimization, and cache tuning. Use profiling tools (sanitizer, perf, gprof) and custom benchmarks to optimize CPU, memory, and I/O performance. Architect and develop scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux for high-throughput workloads. Implement and optimize core services across distributed infrastructure using cloud-native tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and AWS services (ELB, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis). Collaborate with SRE/DevOps teams to instrument systems with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Loki stack. Support application development, software updates, and releases. Analyze, test, and integrate new applications. Document development activities and technical requirements. Monitor competitive products and review relevant literature and patents. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and integration needs. Work with QA to ensure applications meet specifications. Mentor junior engineers. Position allows remote work one or more days per week per company policy.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
7 years of experience developing software for ad tech systems including ad-serving data indexing engines, ad selection algorithms, and audience targeting pipelines
Experience caching and optimizing relational databases including MySQL and Aurora
Experience with NoSQL databases including Aerospike, DynamoDB, ETCD, Neo4J, and RocksDB
Experience using sanitizer, perf, and gprof profiling tools for performance tuning
Experience architecting and developing scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux
Experience performing end-to-end system design and optimization
5 years experience using cloud-native tools including Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
Experience with AWS services including ELB, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, and Kinesis
Experience monitoring and troubleshooting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Loki stack
