Full job description Lead SDET role responsible for planning and performing manual and automated testing, improving QA practices, and leading a team of 4-5 database testers for a complex Oracle-based multi-channel marketing platform. Requires strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills, experience with Unix Shell scripting, Java and Python programming, and handling large data volumes. Responsibilities include test planning, code reviews, mentoring, test case development, impact and regression testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Requires 9-12 years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Design, develop and execute automated test cases and scripts
Review test cases and procedures for business requirement coverage
Communicate testing progress and results accurately and timely
Review and improve quality assurance processes and documentation

Stay updated with technology, tools and QA practices and share knowledge
Support system patch or version upgrades
Develop test plans and tools for Oracle software on Linux
Collaborate with developers, testers, project managers, business analysts and users
Assist in defining project plans, scoping, scheduling and time estimates
Develop technical documentation for system components and implementation strategies
Prepare and dispense work assignments and review team work
Test data validation scenarios, data ingestion, pipelines and transformation processes
Collaborate with QA team to define test cases and metrics
Recommend business process improvements and communicate problem resolution
Perform root cause analysis
Work with multi-functional teams during crisis to resolve complex incidents
Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementation
Update/create Knowledge Base Articles and case studies
Assist in creation and improvement of Knowledge Management Requirements 9-12 years of testing experience Excellent skills in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Hands-on experience testing Unix Shell scripts Hands-on experience with Java and Python programming Experience handling large volumes of data (hundreds of GBs) Knowledge of programming languages and process management methodology Knowledge of test methodologies and corresponding tools Experience in impact-analysis and root cause analysis Good experience in Automation Testing and knowledge of various automation tools Experience in performance testing, application monitoring and support of production applications with distributed teams Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences Ability to design and build flexible and extensible systems focusing on code reuse and generation Experience identifying test strategy and test scenarios for back-end systems Bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech) in Computer Science or equivalent Experience with API & Web Services testing Good analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly Motivated to learn new applications and domain Strong time management skills Ability to take full ownership of tasks and projects Great interpersonal skills and teamwork Can-Do attitude to overcome challenges Tech stack Oracle SQL PL/SQL Unix Shell scripting Java Python Automation Testing API Testing Web Services Testing Linux
