Full job description

Digital Turbine seeks a Lead Android Engineer to drive technical direction and architecture for campaign management, reporting, audience and asset tooling, and APIs connecting demand to supply. The role requires leadership across front-end, back-end, and data engineering with a focus on backend architecture, system design, and optimization. Responsibilities include designing and executing full-stack features, establishing technical strategy, API integration, ensuring service reliability, collaborating with product leads, and mentoring engineers. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in production platform architecture, strong algorithmic and problem-solving skills, proficiency in multiple programming languages (TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, Scala, C++), and expertise in front-end frameworks (React), back-end service design, and relational/distributed databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), containers, CI/CD, and AdTech domain knowledge is a plus. This is a hybrid role based in Durham, North Carolina.
