Full job description
Lead Backend Engineer role at Digital Turbine responsible for architecting and executing scalable, fault-tolerant backend platform services and APIs. Requires 8+ years experience in building and operating high-throughput backend systems with strong expertise in distributed systems, algorithmic problem-solving, and polyglot programming (Java, Go, Kotlin, Scala, Python, C++, TypeScript). Responsibilities include backend design leadership, low-latency optimization, API and platform ecosystem design, production lifecycle ownership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), and CI/CD pipelines preferred. Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent. Position offers competitive compensation, equity, comprehensive benefits, and hybrid flexible work environment.
