Teads is hiring a Junior Backend Engineer for the DR-Delivery team in Ljubljana. The role involves developing and maintaining backend services in Go, Java, and Scala that power ad delivery and spend. The engineer will work with data systems like MySQL, Kafka, HDFS, and BigQuery to build and analyze delivery flows and data pipelines. Responsibilities include contributing to ML model platforms, owning features end-to-end, debugging production issues, writing clean code, participating in code reviews, collaborating with cross-site teams, and joining on-call rotations. Candidates should have a B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent, solid programming fundamentals, experience in at least one backend language, SQL knowledge, curiosity about distributed systems, ownership mindset, willingness to learn, and good English skills. Bonus points for 1-2 years backend experience, Kafka, big data tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platform familiarity.
