Full job description

Smadex is an ad-tech company processing over 4.5 million ad requests per second. We seek a Junior DevOps Engineer to work closely with our tech team to maintain and scale our global platform. Requirements include pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field, interest in DevOps, familiarity with Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, basic networking, security, infrastructure knowledge, and problem-solving skills. Bonus: basic Linux skills. Responsibilities include gaining hands-on experience with software development tools, helping build a cloud-based platform, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical decisions. The role is full-time, hybrid with 2 days work from home, located in Barcelona. What you'll do

  • Gain hands-on experience with various tools and programming languages in the field of software development
  • Help building a cloud-based platform using modern technologies, collaborating and learning from other highly-skilled peers
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical and architectural decisions, collaborate in a fast-paced environment where every opinion counts

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong interest in DevOps or related field
  • Familiarity with deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Chef
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Basic understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
