The Trade Desk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement scalable software components and infrastructure within internal developer platforms and distributed systems. The role involves optimizing and refactoring tooling, services, and workflows to improve performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability. Responsibilities include conducting technical design and code reviews, ensuring architectural alignment and secure coding practices, serving as a technical advisor, leading cross-functional technical initiatives, developing reusable frameworks and APIs, owning shared libraries or SDKs, and using telemetry and logs to identify bottlenecks and guide improvements. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with six years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with four years of relevant experience. Required skills include four years of experience with REST APIs or gRPC, one or more of Python, Java, C#, Javascript, or C++, rational databases and SQL, AWS, Kubernetes and Docker, and S3 or Azure Blob Storage, plus two years with Grafana, Prometheus or similar. The position is full-time, hybrid (telecommuting permitted within commuting distance of New York office), with a salary range of $189,592 to $274,700 per year.
