The Trade Desk seeks a senior Applied Scientist to develop and deploy machine learning algorithms for its real-time bidding advertising platform. The role involves working with deep learning models at scale, handling challenges such as sparse/noisy data, large output spaces, low latency, and high query volumes. Responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of data-focused product development, collaboration with engineering teams, and leadership within the data science team. Candidates should have a BS/MS or PhD in a quantitative field with relevant industry experience, proficiency in Python, Scala, SQL, and experience with distributed computing technologies like Spark, EMR, and Databricks. Experience with advertising platforms, recommendation systems, and lift modeling is preferred. The position is full-time based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
