OpenX seeks a senior IT Operations Specialist III for a hybrid role based near SoHo, New York. The candidate will provide Level 1-3 IT support focusing on Mac, Windows, SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, MS365), and MDM tools (Jamf, InTune). Responsibilities include endpoint procurement and lifecycle management, proactive system monitoring, documentation, escalation management, IT project participation, onboarding and offboarding support, VIP support, and cross-functional collaboration. Required qualifications include 5+ years in IT operations, expertise in Okta administration, Jamf Pro management, Mac and Windows environments, InTune, MS365, Jira Service Management, and strong documentation skills. The role requires structured troubleshooting, ITIL practice knowledge, and familiarity with automation tools. Salary range is USD 92,650 to 103,550 per year plus bonus, equity, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
What you'll do
- Provide Level 1–3 support across all IT platforms with focus on Mac, Windows, SaaS (Google Workspace, MS365), and MDM (Jamf/InTune)
- Visit office and perform infrastructure quality checks on-site at least once a week or on-demand
- Own and coordinate endpoint and peripheral procurement, imaging, deployment, inventory documentation and lifecycle management globally
- Proactively monitor systems, logs, and user behaviors to identify and prevent issues
- Document and maintain clear task status in team tools
- Act as escalation point for IT to stakeholders on best practices and troubleshooting
- Participate in IT projects including migrations, automation tooling, system integrations, and vendor transitions
- Support weekly IT onboarding sessions focusing on automation and user-readiness
- Process offboarding sessions and hardware retrieval for device repurposing
- Deliver VIP support with calm and helpful demeanor under pressure
- Quickly reprioritize tasks in response to urgent business needs
- Maintain tidy, functional, and documented physical and digital workspaces
- Provide cross-functional support collaborating with Security, Engineering, People Ops, and OfficeOps
- Apply structured thinking to analyze and connect related incidents
- Contribute to and maintain internal documentation (SOPs, runbooks, FAQs)
- Operate within and improve ITIL-aligned practices: incident, change, and problem management
- Experience with Google Meet hardware setup, troubleshooting, and support
- Use Gemini and/or Claude in day-to-day IT support and documentation
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a dedicated Operations role
- Demonstrated Okta administration experience (group rules, user-lifecycle, API-based provisioning)
- Hands-on Jamf Pro management, including policies, profiles, blueprints, compliance enforcement, smart groups
- Comfortable in both Mac (primary) and Windows (secondary) environments
- Strong working knowledge of InTune, MS365
- Proven ownership of user lifecycle automation, account security, and asset hygiene
- Familiarity with Atlassian Jira Service Management and Confluence
- Strong documentation habits and ability to write SOPs and user-friendly walkthroughs
