Full job description

Marketing & Communication internship at Merkle Netherlands. Manage social media channels including content planning, posting, and optimization. Write social copy and create visuals using tools like Figma, Adobe, or CapCut. Maintain internal digital signage. Collaborate with colleagues locally and internationally. Organize online and offline events. Monitor and analyze marketing metrics such as reach and engagement. Develop marketing and AI skills through training. Must be a college/university student in Marketing, Communication, or related field, fluent in Dutch, available 4+ days/week from September 2026. Internship allowance €500/month, laptop provided, guided by experienced marketers, based in Rotterdam office.

What you'll do

  • Manage social media channels end-to-end: content planning, posting, optimization
  • Write catchy social copy and create visuals
  • Keep internal digital signage system up-to-date
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Netherlands and other countries
  • Help organize online and offline events from concept to execution
  • Monitor and analyze marketing results such as reach, engagement, growth
  • Develop marketing and AI skills through training courses and knowledge modules
  • Contribute creative ideas for content, new formats, and AI usage

Requirements

  • College or university student (at least 2nd year) in Marketing, Communication, Media or similar
  • Interest in marketing and social media
  • Enjoy writing and creating creative content
  • Curious about new tools and technologies such as AI
  • Work independently, take initiative and ask questions
  • Fluent in Dutch, preferably also English
  • Available at least 4 days a week from September 2026
