Verve is seeking a junior Insight Analyst with 1-2 years experience in insights, analytics or consumer research within media, ad tech, or marketing. The role involves analyzing search, polling, conversational AI and campaign data using SQL, Python and AI/LLMs to generate actionable insights for audience targeting and campaign optimization. Responsibilities include data storytelling, project lifecycle support, and client communication. The candidate should have foundational SQL skills, proficiency in Python and data analysis libraries, experience with AI tools for automation, and strong communication skills. The position is full-time, hybrid based in New York City, with a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 USD. What you'll do
- Bring initiative and a willingness to rethink established ways of working
- Turn search, polling, conversational AI and campaign data into persuasive narratives for clients and internal teams
- Contribute across full project lifecycle from brief to delivery including interpreting briefs, shaping hypotheses, exploring data, developing story and delivering polished outputs
- Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients to explain measurement results and market intelligence research
Requirements
- 1–2 years of professional experience in insights, strategy, analytics or consumer research role within media agency, ad tech, publisher, or in-house marketing/consumer insights team
- Strong understanding of digital advertising ecosystem, media landscape and campaign measurement fundamentals including performance KPIs and brand lift
- Ability to turn raw data into compelling and commercially relevant stories
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using AI as a thought partner for insight development with sound judgment and factchecking
- Foundational knowledge of SQL with ability to write, customize and debug queries
- Proficient quantitative data analysis skills to identify meaningful patterns and connect findings to business questions
- Familiarity with code-specific AI tools such as Claude Code or Codex for automating data workflows
- Ability to test, validate and debug AI-generated code
- Proficient knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or similar unified data analytics platforms
- Experience with Python data analysis libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, PyMC
