Full job description

Appodeal seeks an independent non-executive board director with deep experience operating ML-driven products and data platforms at scale. The role focuses on strategic guidance for building world-class data science organizations, designing data platforms and experimentation infrastructure, integrating ML into product decision loops, and developing data-driven operating cultures. Responsibilities include participating in quarterly board meetings, providing strategic guidance to leadership, contributing to data platform and ML product development discussions, advising on organizational structure for data science and ML teams, evaluating major technical investments, and sharing insights from ML-driven companies. The role requires 10+ years of experience leading ML-driven product organizations with strong operational judgment and an independent mindset. Estimated time commitment is approximately four weeks per year. Location is remote (USA) or Barcelona, Spain.

What you'll do
