Full job description

Smadex is offering a 6-month full-time internship in Barcelona with potential for full employment based on performance. The HR Operations Intern will support global People Operations under the HR Operations Analyst. Responsibilities include maintaining HR systems (HiBob), internal communications (Notion), data audits, onboarding and offboarding processes, benefits administration, attendance tracking, and organizing team events. Requirements include immediate availability, excellent English, strong communication skills, proficiency in Excel, interest in AI for HR, and current or recent degree in HR, Business, Psychology or similar. Candidates must have legal work permit for Spain; no visa sponsorship provided. Benefits include a paid internship (€960 gross/month), hybrid work (2 days remote), access to LinkedIn Learning, gym allowance, team-building events, and a collaborative work environment.

What you'll do

  • Assist the team in keeping the HiBob platform up to date with accurate records and organizational updates
  • Help explore and implement new workflows in Bob to maximize platform utility
  • Help maintain internal communication channels and knowledge bases on Notion
  • Support data audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with data privacy regulations
  • Help execute a seamless onboarding process for new team members globally
  • Support team members through key career milestones and the offboarding process
  • Assist with university internship agreements (Convenios), visa applications, and tracking employee attendance
  • Support with maintaining and updating employee information in HR databases
  • Support benefits administration, managing enrollments, addressing questions, and troubleshooting issues with external providers
  • Support tracking and managing employee attendance and absences
  • Help organize monthly TGIF events, rooftop BBQs, and team-building activities
  • Act as a steward of the Smadex culture, providing creative feedback to improve workflows

Requirements

  • Immediate availability to start
  • Excellent English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid command of Excel for data maintenance and reporting tasks
  • Strong interest in AI and how technology can transform HR operations
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or similar
  • Legal permit to work in Spain (no visa sponsorship)
