Full job description

DoubleVerify seeks a senior HR Business Partner to support Engineering and Product (R&D) teams across the Americas. This full-time role is based in New York City with a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities include advising Senior Directors and below on team design, talent strategy, and business outcomes; driving team effectiveness and organizational design initiatives; coaching managers; managing talent processes such as performance management and development planning; resolving employee relations issues; contributing to workforce planning; leading change initiatives; ensuring deployment of HR programs; fostering a positive culture; managing employee lifecycle processes; and ensuring compliance with labor laws and immigration processes. Requirements include 8+ years of progressive HR experience with 4+ years as an HR Business Partner, experience partnering with technical teams, strong HR expertise, proficiency with HR systems (Workday, Culture Amp), Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, knowledge of AI tools, understanding of multi-state U.S. labor laws, and immigration process knowledge. Salary range is $86,000 to $163,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Senior Directors and below on team design, talent strategy, and business outcomes
  • Translate R&D priorities into aligned HR strategies, initiatives, and action plans
  • Own day-to-day advisory relationship with client groups
  • Drive team effectiveness initiatives using data and insights
  • Partner on org design initiatives including analysis, stakeholder prep, and implementation
  • Coach managers on performance management, team dynamics, and management effectiveness
  • Drive core talent processes including performance management cycles, talent assessments, engagement surveys, and development planning
  • Navigate and resolve complex employee relations matters and investigations
  • Contribute to workforce planning by maintaining headcount data and analyzing trends
  • Lead execution of team transformation and change initiatives
  • Ensure effective deployment of HR Centers of Excellence programs
  • Foster strong employee relationships and contribute to a transparent, respectful, high-performance culture
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including leaves of absence, relocations, terminations, and exits
  • Manage compliance activities including background check escalations, immigration processes, data audits, and labor law adherence

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 4+ years as an HR Business Partner
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, or other technical teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consultative skills
  • Strong HR expertise across employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, compensation, and talent acquisition
  • Experience with HR systems and people analytics tools (e.g., Workday, Culture Amp)
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
  • Curiosity and practical use of AI tools to improve HR processes and decision-making
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and multi-state U.S. labor laws (including California and New York)
  • Experience supporting Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, and/or Canada is a plus
  • Working knowledge of immigration processes (e.g., non-immigrant visas)
