Full job description

Seeking a senior HR Business Partner with 5+ years of HR experience, including 2+ years in a business partner role. Responsibilities include partnering with leadership on people strategies, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, employee relations, change management, learning and development, HR analytics, and compliance. Requires strong business acumen, communication skills, judgment, and experience with HR data and AI tools. Benefits include medical, dental, vision plans, flexible PTO, and 401k with employer match. Location: New York, NY. Full-time, hybrid work arrangement.

What you'll do

  • Partner with senior leaders and executives to develop and execute people strategies aligned to business goals
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and headcount strategy
  • Provide coaching to managers and senior leaders on performance management, team engagement, and leadership effectiveness
  • Drive performance management processes including review cycles and calibrations
  • Partner on merit cycles, promotions, and compensation decisions ensuring consistency and fairness
  • Serve as trusted advisor on employee relations matters and navigate sensitive situations
  • Lead and support change management efforts including reorganizations and business transformations
  • Partner with Learning & Development to identify capability gaps and support development initiatives
  • Leverage HR data and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state (including New York), and local employment laws and regulations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a business partner or similar role
  • Experience across core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, and talent development
  • Strong business acumen with ability to align people strategies to organizational goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills to navigate complex and sensitive situations
  • Experience leveraging HR data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive outcomes
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices and federal, state employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with urgency and proactivity
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and support data-driven decision-making
