Full job description

Criteo seeks a senior leader to head Social advertising strategy, integrating paid social and discovery media with Criteo’s platform. The role involves setting social strategy, leading client engagements at C-level, translating market needs into product and GTM initiatives, and building partnerships with social platforms and agencies. Responsibilities include developing social and discovery media strategies, advising global clients, enabling sales teams, influencing product roadmaps, and representing Criteo in the social ecosystem. Requirements include 10+ years in digital advertising with expertise in paid social, client leadership experience, strong commercial and communication skills, and a bachelor's degree. What you'll do

  • Set the Criteo POV on social and how it complements walled gardens in modern media activation
  • Lead strategic conversations with C-level and VP-level clients, co-creating integrated plans combining social, discovery, and commerce media
  • Translate market needs into product, partnerships, and GTM motions
  • Expand Criteo’s global strategy and narrative for Social in brand and product discovery
  • Develop clear value propositions for different client segments connecting social & discovery to commerce outcomes and measurement
  • Build frameworks and playbooks explaining Criteo’s role in social/discovery mix
  • Serve as senior advisor to key global clients and agencies on social & discovery strategy
  • Lead strategy workshops and roadshows with clients
  • Turn early wins into repeatable case studies and narratives with Marketing & Comms
  • Partner with GTM, Sales and Account Strategy teams to embed Social thinking into selling motions
  • Define qualification criteria and best next product scenarios for social/discovery stack
  • Act as market voice of social into Product & R&D, codify client needs and competitive insights
  • Partner with Product teams to support modern social/discovery use cases
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with social platforms, buying tools, and agency partners
  • Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities to strengthen Criteo’s relevance
  • Represent Criteo at industry events and thought leadership forums

Requirements

  • 10+ years in digital advertising with significant depth in paid social and discovery media across multiple platforms
  • Track record in client-facing leadership roles at a social platform, social tool/technology company, or leading media/creative agency
  • Proven experience advising large global advertisers and agencies, including C-suite and SVP-level stakeholders, on social/discovery strategy and investment decisions
  • Demonstrated success in building or scaling a social/discovery practice or offering
  • Strong understanding of commerce, performance media, and measurement, including incrementality, attribution, and full-funnel frameworks
  • Social-first strategist who understands how platforms, formats, and signals drive brand and sales results
  • Clear communicator who can simplify complex cross-channel strategies for any audience
  • Strong commercial skills; comfortable discussing budgets, media mix, results, and trade-offs with senior leaders
  • Client-first and collaborative; enjoys workshops, whiteboarding, and in-person engagement
  • Strong cross-functional partner
  • Comfortable in fast-changing environments; can bring structure and build simple frameworks
  • Global mindset; able to work across regions and travel as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is a plus (or equivalent practical experience)
