Full job description
The Trade Desk is seeking a mid-level software engineer with 4+ years of experience to develop and optimize internal tools and services supporting business teams. The role involves working on both frontend and backend components, maintaining system reliability and scalability, analyzing data for operational improvements, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders. Candidates should have a degree in computer science or equivalent experience. Preferred skills include C#, TypeScript, React, .NET, GraphQL, API design, CI/CD, microservices, Python, AI fundamentals, and SQL. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required. The position is full-time based in Bellevue, Washington. Salary range is $103,200 to $189,200 USD. What you'll do
- Develop, enhance, and optimize internal tools, processes, and services for business teams
- Contribute to complex projects involving frontend and backend components
- Maintain and improve system reliability, scalability, and compliance through high-quality code and automated testing
- Analyze data to identify operational improvements and communicate impact
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions
- Participate in code reviews and share feedback and best practices
- Take ownership of smaller projects or features and support larger team initiatives
- Learn and grow by working on diverse projects and technologies
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development engineering experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science or relevant engineering-related field or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with C#, TypeScript, and React (nice to have)
- Experience developing applications and services using .NET (nice to have)
- Familiarity with GraphQL and API design principles (nice to have)
- Experience with CI/CD practices including designing build pipelines and deploying microservices (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Python and AI fundamentals (LLMs, RAG, MCP, guardrails) (nice to have)
- Proficiency with relational databases and SQL (nice to have)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete designs and execution plans
- Drive innovative solutions while being sensitive to stakeholder needs
