Full job description

The Trade Desk seeks a mid-level Software Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to design, build, and maintain data-focused software products. The role involves full lifecycle development, collaboration with distributed teams, and delivering high-quality features using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and optionally server-side technologies like C#, Java, NodeJS, and SQL. Candidates should have a solid foundation in computer science, experience with enterprise services, and strong communication skills. What you'll do

  • Design, build, deliver, and own full lifecycle software development from inception to production
  • Drive complex changes involving multiple components
  • Deliver quality changes including automated tests, metrics, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with a geographically distributed team to deliver features
  • Guide and review changes to product features in line with product roadmaps
  • Implement and maintain product features
  • Build components and processes regularly used by others
  • Validate changes to ensure high quality product releases
  • Understand the business objectives behind the code
  • Use data to analyze and communicate the impact of work on operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Comfortable working on an agile, distributed team spanning multiple time zones and continents
  • Effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals
  • Passionate about building beautiful and seamless user interfaces
  • Proficient in React and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience building enterprise level services
  • 2-4 years of software development engineering experience
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or relevant engineering-related field or equivalent experience
  • Nice-to-have experience in server-side languages/technologies (C#, Java, NodeJS, SQL)
