Full job description

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Junior Python Developer to join the Beeswax organization within Comcast Advertising. The role involves building a high availability advertising platform and web applications to empower customers in configuring advertising strategies. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 1+ years of professional Python experience. Experience in AdTech and Django is a plus. Responsibilities include analyzing integration needs, software design and development, documentation, quality assurance collaboration, and applying engineering and project management skills. The position requires flexibility for nights and weekends. Salary range is $97,445.67 to $146,168.50 depending on experience. Location: Englewood, Colorado, United States.

What you'll do

  • Analyze and determine integration needs
  • Evaluate and plan software designs, test results, and technical manuals
  • Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to assigned projects
  • Program new software and web applications, support new applications under development, and customize current applications
  • Edit and review technical requirements documentation
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to ensure applications meet specifications and technical requirements
  • Apply engineering methodologies, process design/redesign, and project management skills
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; work nights and weekends as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relatable technical field or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of professional experience with Python
  • Nice to have: AdTech industry experience
  • Nice to have: Experience with Django
