Full job description

Engineering Manager role leading a fullstack development team building AI-first platform for conversational commerce. Responsibilities include team leadership, coaching, technical decision-making, and collaboration with product and Meta engineers. Required experience includes full software lifecycle, large-scale high-availability web applications, agile practices, product accountability, and ability to work onsite in Helsinki three days a week. Tech stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and React. Hybrid work model with benefits including healthcare, equity, and career development.

What you'll do

  • Lead an autonomous Fullstack development team by example
  • Facilitate daily team operations and enable team members
  • Support team members' growth and development
  • Tackle ambitious technical problems and contribute to engineering culture
  • Lead and contribute to key architectural and technical decisions focusing on system performance, large-scale data processing, validation, and integration with Meta APIs
  • Collaborate closely with Product Manager and Meta engineers to ensure alignment and best practices

Requirements

  • Experience throughout the full software life-cycle in an environment with multiple teams
  • Built and maintained large-scale, high-availability web applications with an active and growing user base
  • Product accountability using a wide variation of product metrics for data-driven decisions
  • Experience in various agile development practices and pragmatism in tradeoffs with a sharp focus on delivery
  • Ability to deliver constructive feedback that leads to meaningful changes and growth
  • Empathetic and user-focused with deep care about product experience and user motivations
  • Strong development and technical expertise to lead technical decisions and hands-on coaching
  • Ability to work from Helsinki office three days a week
