Full job description

Engineering Manager role leading the DevOps Tooling & Developer Experience team within Infrastructure & Production. Responsible for team leadership, coaching, removing blockers, and driving developer tools and cloud developer experience strategy. Requires experience leading high-performing teams, full software lifecycle knowledge, building and maintaining large-scale public cloud infrastructures, agile development practices, and hands-on engineering skills. Must work from Helsinki office three days a week. Tech stack includes AWS, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Logstash, GitHub Actions, Grafana, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, VictoriaMetrics. What you'll do

  • Lead an autonomous DevOps Tooling & Developer Experience (Vulcan) team
  • Lead developer tools development and strategy
  • Drive cloud developer experience development
  • Facilitate and enable the team at team level
  • Support team members' growth and development
  • Tackle ambitious technical problems and contribute to engineering culture

Requirements

  • Experienced people leader with proven ability in building and leading high-performing teams
  • Experience throughout the full software life-cycle in an environment with multiple teams
  • Built and maintained large-scale, high-availability public cloud infrastructures with an active and growing user base
  • Experience in various agile development practices with pragmatism on tradeoffs and focus on delivery
  • Ability to deliver constructive feedback that leads to meaningful changes and growth
  • Empathetic and user-focused with deep care about developer experience
  • Skilled engineer capable of hands-on coaching including code reviews and pair programming
  • Ability and willingness to work from Helsinki office three days a week
