MNTN seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Data Platform team responsible for building and maintaining core data infrastructure and tooling supporting analytics, data science, and data engineering. The role involves hands-on technical leadership, defining roadmaps with the Principal Engineer, collaborating cross-functionally, ensuring platform reliability and scalability, enforcing best practices, and growing a high-performing engineering team. Candidates must have 7+ years software engineering experience including 2+ years leading teams, experience with internal platforms or developer tools in data-intensive environments, strong knowledge of data infrastructure technologies (Airflow, Dagster, BigQuery, Snowflake, Kafka, SQLMesh), cloud proficiency (AWS or GCP), containers, and infrastructure-as-code. The position is full-time and remote, based in the United States.

Partner with the Principal Engineer to define the team’s technical roadmap and architecture

Requirements
7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading teams or projects
Experience building internal platforms or developer tools, ideally in a data-intensive environment
Strong understanding of modern data infrastructure including orchestration, warehousing, streaming, and transformation tools
Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), containers, and infrastructure-as-code
Ability to lead cross-functional workstreams and translate user needs into robust platform capabilities
Product mindset focused on solving real user problems
Willingness to be hands-on and contribute technically while building a high-performing team
