Full job description

Seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead development of a modern Integration Platform for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into the People Cloud Platform. Requires 10+ years software engineering experience with backend and data engineering focus, 5+ years leadership experience, expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, cloud-native microservices, Angular, Databricks, Spark, Kubernetes, Terraform, and multi-cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP). Responsibilities include designing integration platform, architecting data ingestion pipelines, building scalable connector frameworks, backend and frontend development, cross-team collaboration, and implementing CI/CD and deployment strategies. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required. Preferred experience with Salesforce, Workday, Marketo, Google Ads, Segment, Snowflake integrations and advanced AI architectures.

What you'll do

  • Lead design and implementation of extensible integration platform for data onboarding and management
  • Architect and oversee data ingestion pipelines from APIs, file sources, and event streams
  • Build reusable, scalable connector frameworks with monitoring, retry logic, and transformations
  • Ensure seamless integration with People Cloud APIs, data models, and customer features
  • Drive backend development using Java/Spring Boot and real-time/batch data processing
  • Oversee frontend architecture (Angular) for internal tools and dashboards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and cloud infrastructure teams
  • Ensure multi-cloud compatibility leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and blue-green deployment

Requirements

  • 10+ years in software engineering with strong backend and data engineering skills
  • 5+ years of leadership experience including team building, mentoring, and delivery management
  • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native microservices
  • Strong understanding of data integration patterns, API consumption, and real-time/batch ETL
  • Experience building multi-connector frameworks
  • Knowledge of Angular for front-end development and dashboarding
  • Proven experience with multi-cloud deployment, Kubernetes, Terraform, and observability tools
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and blue-green deployments in production
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Preferred: experience with Salesforce, Workday, Marketo, Google Ads, Segment, Snowflake integrations
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark or equivalent data processing platforms
  • Preferred: experience with RAG architectures, Agentic AI systems, spec-driven AI-assisted development
