Full job description
Director of Software Engineering role to lead development of an integration platform for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into People Cloud Platform. Requires 10+ years software engineering experience, 5+ years leadership, expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, cloud-native microservices, data integration, ETL, and multi-cloud deployment. Responsibilities include designing integration platform, building data pipelines with Databricks and Spark, developing backend and frontend (Angular), collaborating cross-functionally, and implementing CI/CD and deployment strategies. Preferred experience with Salesforce, Workday, Marketo, Google Ads, Segment, Snowflake, and AI-assisted development. Location: Irving, Texas, United States. Salary range: $129,500 to $240,500 annually.
What you'll do
- Lead design and implementation of extensible integration platform for data onboarding and management
- Architect and oversee data ingestion pipelines from APIs, file sources, and event streams using Databricks, Spark, and custom ETL
- Build reusable, scalable connector frameworks with monitoring, retry logic, and transformation capabilities
- Ensure integration with People Cloud APIs, data models, and customer-facing features
- Drive backend development with Java/Spring Boot and real-time/batch data processing
- Oversee frontend architecture (Angular) for internal tools and dashboards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and cloud infrastructure teams
- Ensure multi-cloud compatibility leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and blue-green deployment strategies
Requirements
- 10+ years in software engineering with strong backend and data engineering experience
- 5+ years leadership experience including team building, mentoring, and delivery management
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native microservices
- Strong understanding of data integration patterns, API consumption, and real-time/batch ETL
- Experience building multi-connector frameworks
- Knowledge of Angular for front-end development
- Experience with multi-cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform, and observability tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and blue-green deployments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Preferred: experience with Salesforce, Workday, Marketo, Google Ads, Segment, Snowflake integrations
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark or equivalent data processing platforms
- Preferred: experience with RAG architectures, Agentic AI systems, and spec-driven AI-assisted development
