Full job description

Director, Relationship Marketing Strategy role at Merkle reporting to Senior Director. Lead omni-channel marketing plans focused on data-driven CRM and 1st party data marketing. Build client relationships and deliver measurable ROI campaigns across multiple verticals including Insurance, Financial Services, Non-Profit, Retail, Automotive, Travel, Media and Entertainment, B2B, High Tech. Requires 8+ years in data-driven marketing, 5+ years agency/consulting experience, team leadership, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, strong communication skills, and ability to work in matrixed organizations. Remote role based in Colorado with 20%-30% travel. Salary range $113,000-$158,000. What you'll do

  • Lead the building, development, and delivery of strategic omni-channel marketing plans
  • Be a subject matter expert and translate new technology, particularly in 1st party data marketing and CRM, into new marketing ideas
  • Understand marketing differences across verticals and environments
  • Develop trusted, long-term relationships with key client contacts and executives
  • Ensure meaningful client value through best-practice solutions, skills, capabilities, and original thinking
  • Collaborate with team leadership and partner agencies to turn ideas into executable plans
  • Identify key data points and measurements to show impact of strategy on client’s business

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience leading a team
  • 8+ years of experience in data driven marketing – specifically CRM, email, online/offline media
  • Deep understanding of the customer lifecycle and how messaging strategy drives the experience
  • 5+ years working in an agency or consulting firm
  • Experience developing solutions to support the sale of new services to clients
  • Proficiency in Excel and research tools
  • Strong writing, presentation and client facing communication skills
  • Experience translating data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations and presentations – proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail and ability to incorporate feedback iteratively
  • Superior multi-tasking, networking, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with high intellectual curiosity, drive, determination, and persuasion skills
  • Comfort and experience working within a matrixed organization
  • Average 20%-30% travel (contingent on client comfort level)
  • Healthcare client experience (a plus)
  • Experience with Braze/SFMC (a plus)
