The Director of Legal & Privacy leads Sovrn's legal function including commercial contracting, privacy and data protection, intellectual property, dispute management, corporate governance, and legal operations. The role partners with the CFO and works cross-functionally with sales, product, engineering, and finance. Responsibilities include managing commercial agreements, overseeing privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, IAB frameworks), advising on AI governance and AI-related contracts, managing outside counsel and legal contractors, implementing legal infrastructure, managing IP portfolio, supporting disputes and corporate transactions, and training staff on legal and privacy matters. Requires 10+ years legal experience in technology companies, 5+ years in-house, expertise in adtech privacy laws and AI governance, strong communication skills, and relevant certifications preferred. The position is full-time, hybrid, based in Boulder, Colorado, with a salary range of $190,000 to $230,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
