Director IMS and EMEA Platform & Cloud

What you'll do

• Provide leadership and strategic direction of the Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) team in the UK&I cluster
• Lead the Platform & Cloud teams across the EMEA region
• Collaborate with client teams to capture requirements and deliver solutions throughout sales and delivery lifecycle
• Ensure client solutions align with Global infrastructure and IMS policies, standards and best practices
• Manage UK&I IMS finances including client revenue and IMS budget
• Set standards and ensure governance and compliance of technology operations
• Identify and incorporate global trends into roadmaps for key technical programmes (e.g. Automation, AI, Infrastructure as Code)
• Work with partners to provide modern, secure and integrated toolsets
• Provide escalation path for IMS Operations in UK&I and Platform and Cloud capabilities across EMEA
• Oversee Regional Duty Management as part of IMS global support model
• Report on key metrics including regional incident and request tickets
• Lead and develop team including cloud architects, DBAs, and regional Duty Manager
• Uphold and promote dentsu’s core values and culture

Requirements

• Proven ability to understand client/stakeholder needs and transform them into world-class solutions
• Proactive, upbeat and collaborative communication style
• Hands-on technology experience focused on solution delivery and platform optimisations
• Ability to engage all stakeholders in a positive, productive manner
• Ability to develop and retain world-class technology talent
• ITIL and relevant Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) certifications highly desired
• Understanding of emerging methodologies, technologies, architectures, products (primarily AWS, GCP and Microsoft technology stacks)
• Ability to assess and communicate technology budgets and delivery schedules
• Ability to develop and manage metrics for continuous improvement of service quality
• Ability to optimise staff utilisation
• Ability to travel within the EMEA region as needed
• Circa 10+ years designing, building and supporting enterprise-class solutions in 24/7 environments
• Circa 5+ years in a managerial role with expert knowledge of cloud infrastructure and data platforms
• Good understanding of end-user, network, data centre technologies and information security
