Full job description

Director role in FP&A for APAC region. Lead strategic finance activities including financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI framework development. Act as trusted advisor to APAC leadership, translating strategy into actionable insights for growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Revenue Operations) to align financial priorities. Drive transformational business plans including growth initiatives, new markets, M&A, and cost efficiencies. Support Deal Desk activities with financial analysis on pricing and commercial proposals. Monitor regional risks and opportunities. Lead and develop APAC FP&A team. Requires 10+ years experience in FP&A or related finance discipline, strong financial modeling and executive communication skills, ability to influence senior stakeholders, and comfort working across diverse APAC markets. Hybrid work model. Locations in Singapore and Tokyo.

What you'll do

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the APAC Leadership Team balancing strategic thinking with operational rigor
  • Set strategic direction for the region and conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and risks
  • Establish clear financial frameworks, insights, and executive-level narratives for strategy evaluation
  • Translate regional strategy into actionable insights driving profitable, scalable growth across APAC markets
  • Ensure alignment on operational metrics and financial priorities across Finance, Global FP&A, and regional stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Sales, Marketing, Product, and other functions for consistency of assumptions, metrics, and business plans
  • Identify, drive, and implement transformational business plans including growth initiatives, new markets, M&A, and cost efficiencies
  • Lead end-to-end FP&A for APAC including annual planning, long-range planning, rolling forecasts, monthly close reviews, and variance analysis
  • Evaluate strategic initiatives, investment trade-offs, and ROI considering market maturity, business models, and local dynamics
  • Establish KPI frameworks and performance reviews to drive accountability for customer and financial outcomes
  • Assess financial implications of pricing, packaging, discounting, and go-to-market motions in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations
  • Support and perform Deal Desk activities in selected APAC markets providing financial analysis on pricing, discounts, and commercial proposals
  • Monitor regional risks and opportunities including foreign exchange, market volatility, competitive dynamics, and customer demand changes
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial planning, reporting, data quality, and recurring analysis
  • Lead and develop a high-performing APAC FP&A team

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, commercial finance, or a related discipline, working closely with senior leadership
  • Successful track record of partnering with and influencing executive-level stakeholders
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, commercially minded, and highly analytical
  • Ability to solve unstructured problems and turn complex information into clear recommendations
  • Comfortable operating across APAC markets with different cultures, currencies, business environments, and levels of maturity
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, scenario-planning, and executive communication skills
  • Understanding of revenue growth, pricing, customer economics, investment decisions, and cost structures
  • Exposure to Deal Desk, pricing, or commercial approval processes is a plus
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Clear communicator comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment
  • Global mindset balancing regional consistency with local market needs
  • Fluent in English; additional APAC language skills are a plus
