Full job description

Director of Engineering role responsible for multiple engineering teams, software development, delivery, SDLC, software quality, and people management. Align teams to business goals, build and develop teams, resource planning, incident and change management, performance reviews, and mentoring. Lead communication and collaboration with stakeholders and product teams. Requires 8+ years software development experience with 5 years in senior engineering management, experience in agile environments, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and large scale distributed applications. Experience with Hadoop, Kafka, Scylla, Cassandra, Rust, Go, Spark, and distributed teams. Tech stack includes Golang, Rust, Java/Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Spark, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, React, and more. Salary range in NY is $230,000 – $250,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Hybrid work schedule with two remote days and three in-office days. Locations include New York City, Boston, Buffalo, and East Coast Remote.
