Full job description

Director, Data Analytics responsible for projecting value of department opportunities using analytical and simulation methods. Collaborates with Sales, Product, and Engineering for impact analysis and value propositions. Key duties include advising on analytic opportunities, using predictive analytics, translating data insights, preparing data-driven content, coaching for data-driven decision making, overseeing a team, developing organizational vision, recruiting and training staff, improving infrastructure, defining business applications for data and analytics, and analyzing product adoption and customer usage. Requires Bachelor's degree, 15+ years in analytics, 10+ years in leadership, expertise with large data sets and tools like Tableau, SQL, Python, strong business and financial acumen, leadership skills, communication skills, project management experience, and team building capabilities. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, 401k with matching, competitive pay, and bonuses. Location: New York, NY. Salary range: $161,000 - $276,000 annually. Role is full-time with hybrid work option.

What you'll do

  • Advise Sales & prospects on scoping analytic opportunities, data quality, and delivery expectations
  • Use predictive analytics to portray product performance to customers
  • Translate data insights into practical implications and opportunities
  • Prepare data-driven content and communicate insights to multiple audiences
  • Coach others to instill a culture of fact-based decision making
  • Evaluate, develop, select, and integrate new tools and processes for data gathering and reporting
  • Provide direct oversight to a team
  • Develop vision for future state Product Analytics organization structure
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop leadership and performance excellence programs
  • Invest in and build improved infrastructure for the organization
  • Define business applications related to data acquisition, reporting, performance management, analytics, and visualization
  • Design and deliver analyses that inform product roadmaps
  • Analyze product adoption and customer usage data to provide growth insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 15+ years experience in analytics
  • 10+ years experience in an analytics leadership role
  • Expertise in collection, analysis, and delivery of large, multidimensional data sets
  • Experience with advanced analytical tools and methodology (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Python)
  • Experience building and leading cross-functional teams across go-to-market organizations
  • Strong business acumen and financial skillsets
  • High energy, hands-on leadership style
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Strong project and program implementation and management skills
  • Experience building process and organizational capability with scale, including recruiting and hiring
