The Trade Desk seeks a Director of Corporate FP&A, Corporate Consolidations to lead consolidated financial planning and management reporting. The role partners with Accounting, GTM Finance, Finance Systems, and senior leaders to provide accurate, timely consolidated views of company performance. Responsibilities include leading FP&A partnership with Corporate Accounting, facilitating budgeting and reporting, preparing board materials, delivering financial insights, supporting Corporate Development and Investor Relations, managing consolidation tools like Oracle EPM, and leading the FP&A consolidation team. Candidates must have 12+ years in FP&A or corporate finance, experience in public or complex global companies, strong executive communication, and experience using AI and automation to improve FP&A processes. What you'll do
- Serve as the primary FP&A partner to Corporate Accounting and Controllership on close-to-forecast alignment, variance explanations, and structural changes
- Collaborate with FP&A department and regional heads to facilitate short- and long-term budgeting and reporting processes
- Prepare and curate financial materials for quarterly board meetings
- Develop and deliver consolidated financial insights and narratives for executive leadership, Board of Directors, and other senior stakeholders
- Translate complex financial results into clear, decision-oriented insights highlighting risks, opportunities, and tradeoffs
- Ensure consistent definitions, metrics, and storytelling across corporate and functional reporting
- Support Corporate Development in performing financial due diligence
- Focus on macro and company-specific risks and opportunities
- Develop comprehensive cash flow and balance sheet models to assess liquidity, financial health, and optimize capital allocation strategies
- Assist Investor Relations team as needed
- Act as FP&A owner for consolidation-related planning tools and workflows (e.g., Oracle EPM), ensuring data integrity and scalable processes
- Establish strong governance around assumptions, inputs, and outputs across the consolidated model
- Lead, develop, and mentor FP&A team members supporting corporate consolidation and reporting
- Build strong, trusted partnerships across Finance, Accounting, Strategy, and business leaders
- Set clear expectations, roles, and development paths within the Corporate FP&A consolidation function
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles
- Proven experience leading consolidated financial planning and executive-level reporting
- Experience working as a finance leader in a public-company or complex global environment
- Executive-ready communicator with strong judgment and presence
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving structure where none exists
- Experience leveraging AI tools and automation to streamline forecasting, reporting, and data analysis
- Preferred: Prior experience in high-growth, global, or technology-enabled companies
- Preferred: Experience supporting C-suite, Board, and investor-level reporting
- Preferred: People management experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams
