Full job description

The Trade Desk is hiring a mid-level full-time Business Development professional based in Madrid. The role involves developing and managing relationships with agency partners and advertisers, signing agreements and renewals, expanding the client base, managing revenue targets and pipeline, and representing the company at industry events. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in online advertising roles such as publishers, ad networks, DSPs, or SEM platforms, strong negotiation and quantitative skills, experience with sales tools like Salesforce, and a proven track record in sales and business strategy. The role requires self-motivation, quick learning, and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do

  • Develop new relationships with agency partners and advertisers
  • Cultivate existing relationships to generate new opportunities
  • Devise strategy and deploy resources to maximise value for clients, partners, and The Trade Desk
  • Sign new agreements and renewals
  • Expand The Trade Desk independent client base
  • Drive new opportunities across emerging client portfolio
  • Own revenue target and management of pipeline
  • Represent The Trade Desk at industry events and speaking engagements
  • Partner closely with clients to help them achieve opportunities across omnichannel, retail, and identity
  • Communicate the value of The Trade Desk media buying platform
  • Understand The Trade Desk's competitive differentiators in online advertising
  • Demonstrate and win value propositions versus price
  • Work with product team to share customer insights that aid product development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant professional experience
  • Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, or other online advertising roles
  • Relationships with key stakeholders and technology decision-makers at agencies across the market
  • Proven thought leadership and strategy building for a business
  • Strong quantitative and influential skills and negotiation ability
  • Self-starter – able to tackle new clients or territories with little mentoring
  • Quick learner – able to rapidly grasp new technology and product changes
  • Experience using sales enablement tools (Salesforce)
  • Experience in managing longer sales cycles with multiple partners
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally to collaborate and grow businesses
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations
