Director/Assistant Controller - Revenue Assurance role requiring 8-10 years experience. Responsibilities include leading revenue assurance, consolidating and reviewing revenue entries, reconciling revenues with subsystems, managing a team of 4-5, presenting monthly revenue reports, maintaining SOX documentation, assisting process automation, maintaining accounting issue summaries, and coordinating audits. Requirements include MBA or CA, experience in US Public Company SOX environment, knowledge of ASC 606, experience with billing and revenue reconciliation, linking contracts to billing, tracking billing vs accruals, maintaining deferred revenue schedules, variance analysis, and automation/process improvement experience including ERP integration. Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

What you'll do

  • Lead the revenue assurance function
  • Consolidate and review all revenue entries from various streams
  • Reconcile revenues with subsystems and document differences
  • Manage and coach a team of 4-5 members
  • Present monthly revenue reports to stakeholders during month close
  • Maintain documentation for SOX compliance
  • Assist in automating current processes
  • Maintain and update summary listings of accounting issues and exposures
  • Coordinate audits and reviews with external auditors

Requirements

  • MBA or CA qualification
  • 8-10 years of experience in revenue assurance
  • Experience working with US Public Company in SOX environment
  • Understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
  • Experience reconciling billing, tracking systems, and revenues
  • Ability to link contractual commitments with billing and revenues
  • Experience tracking billing against accruals to avoid revenue leakages
  • Maintain deferred revenue schedules and assess stale items
  • Perform variance analysis month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, and year-over-year
  • Experience with automation and process improvements, including subsystem and ERP integration
