Full job description
The Digital Manager is responsible for prospecting and closing sales in GumGum’s advertising platform, focusing on key media agencies and advertisers in the UK. The role reports to the Group Digital Director and requires 3+ years of digital sales or media agency experience. Responsibilities include managing a media agency patch, driving revenue, sales prospecting, leading sales presentations and RFPs, upselling products, managing client relationships, providing client feedback to the Product team, collaborating with Account Managers, and supporting strategic sales opportunities. Candidates must have proven sales results, agency expertise (preferably with WPP/Mindshare), knowledge of Managed Service and Programmatic advertising, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office. The position offers a flexible work environment with hybrid remote/in-office work within a commutable distance to the London office.
What you'll do
- Manage and grow a dedicated media agency patch, consistently hitting or exceeding sales targets
- Identify and hunt for new business opportunities while deepening relationships within existing client base
- Lead sales presentations, RFPs, and develop innovative, data-driven sales solutions
- Introduce clients to full product suite including contextual data, rich media, and video solutions
- Cultivate long-term partnerships with brand and agency contacts to understand and solve marketing goals
- Translate client feedback into actionable insights for Product team to help shape future offerings
- Partner with Account Managers to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and alignment with client expectations
- Support leadership in identifying and closing high-level strategic sales opportunities
Requirements
- At least 3 years of digital advertising sales experience (publisher, tech, or agency side)
- Proven track record working with major agency patches; specific experience with WPP/Mindshare is highly preferred
- Consistent history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a fast-paced sales environment
- Deep knowledge of both Managed Service and Programmatic advertising solutions
- Strong industry reputation backed by an extensive list of established agency and brand contacts
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to pitch complex ideas simply
- Proficiency in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
