Refinery89 seeks a mid-level Data Scientist with 2+ years experience in data science or machine learning, preferably in AdTech or digital environments. The role involves developing and deploying advanced statistical and machine learning models, designing and analyzing A/B/n experiments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and owning the full model lifecycle. Required skills include Python, SQL, machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud experience (AWS or Azure), and strong experimentation expertise. The position is full-time, permanent, and fully remote.

What you'll do

  • Lead development of advanced statistical and machine learning models to optimize key performance parameters
  • Design and execute A/B/n experiments to test multiple parameter configurations
  • Translate data and experimentation results into scalable, production-ready solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases and align technical outcomes with strategic goals
  • Own end-to-end lifecycle of models from ideation to deployment and performance monitoring
  • Present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data science practices, tooling, and experimentation frameworks

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related analytical roles
  • Strong Python and SQL skills
  • Experience with statistical modeling, experimentation, and machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Solid understanding of data manipulation, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience deploying and maintaining models within cloud infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests with strong statistical rigor
  • Understanding of experimental design, hypothesis testing, and causal reasoning
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and functions
  • Business-oriented mindset focusing on impact on product performance and business outcomes
