Full job description

Moloco is hiring a Growth Data Science Manager to lead a team supporting North American gaming and real money gambling verticals. The role involves engaging with advertisers to understand business goals, consulting on measurement methodologies, generating insights, optimizing campaigns, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and developing activation strategies. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, 1+ years managing contributors, 7+ years experience with statistical packages (R, Python, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, SQL), expertise in experimental design and statistical analysis, strong communication skills, and demonstrated leadership. The position is full-time, hybrid, based in Menlo Park or New York. Salary range is $204,000 to $255,000 USD with competitive benefits.

What you'll do

  • Lead a team of data scientists supporting North American gaming and real money gambling verticals
  • Engage with advertisers to understand business objectives and measurement strategies
  • Consult with advertisers on measurement methodologies including MMP attribution, incrementality, MMM
  • Generate insights through data collection, analysis, and communication to stakeholders up to C-Level
  • Partner with internal and external teams on campaign optimization and testing
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve products and services based on market insights
  • Develop activation strategies with business teams to unlock product performance and drive adoption

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 1+ years of experience managing individual contributors
  • 7+ years of experience working with statistical packages in an analytical role (e.g., R, Python, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, SQL)
  • Experience in experimental design, hypothesis testing, and various statistical analysis such as regression or time-series analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to distill complex concepts and information into simple recommendations for stakeholders at various levels
  • Ability to build positive relationships within data science & analytics community and with business stakeholders and advertisers
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders to develop strategies for business growth
  • Proven ability to own projects end-to-end and operate in ambiguous problem spaces
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction
  • Comfortable balancing multiple projects and prioritizing work based on business needs
