Full job description
Tatari is seeking a senior Data Science Manager to lead and grow a team focused on AI/ML product development. The role involves managing data scientists, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Platform teams to deliver AI-powered features, prioritizing AI/ML projects, and ensuring high-quality delivery. Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent, at least 2 years of management experience, and 6+ years in data science or related roles. Required skills include advanced statistics, experience with SQL, Python, AWS, and ML workflows. Experience with AI, LLMs, and ad tech is a plus. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in New York with a salary range of $160,000 to $220,000 annually and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, etc.)
Minimum 2 years of management experience
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Data Science role or related technology environment
Strong strategic thinking and project management skills
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to translate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and move from 0→1 with new features or systems
Advanced knowledge of statistics and probability
Intermediate to advanced experience in Data Manipulation Software (e.g. SQL, Python), cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS), and ML workflows or toolkits
Nice to have: PhD in a technical field
Nice to have: Experience leading AI work including LLMs, embeddings, or ranking/recommender systems
Nice to have: TV Media Industry or Ad Tech experience
