Full job description
Tatari is hiring a Data Science Manager to lead a team focused on AI/ML product development for customer-facing features using machine learning and LLMs. The role involves managing and growing the data science team, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Platform teams to deliver AI-powered features, prioritizing projects, and ensuring high-quality execution. Candidates should have a Master's degree or equivalent in a technical field, at least 2 years management experience, 6+ years in data science or related roles, strong leadership and project management skills, and proficiency in statistics, Python, SQL, AWS, and ML workflows. Experience with AI, LLMs, and ad tech or TV media is a plus. The position is full-time, hybrid with 2 days in-office per week, located in San Francisco, CA. Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, etc.)
Minimum 2 years of management experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in a Data Science or related technology role
Strong strategic thinking and project management skills
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to translate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and move from 0→1 with new features or systems
Advanced knowledge of statistics and probability applied to model development
Intermediate to advanced experience in data manipulation software (e.g. SQL, Python)
Experience with cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS)
Experience with ML workflows or toolkits
Nice to have: PhD in a technical field
Nice to have: Experience leading AI work including LLMs, embeddings, ranking/recommender systems
Nice to have: TV Media Industry or Ad Tech experience
