Full job description

Skai is seeking a Data Infrastructure Lead to own the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of core production data infrastructure including MySQL, SingleStore, Snowflake, Airflow, and Microservices. The role involves managing petabyte-scale data, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency, and balancing in-house, open-source, and SaaS solutions. Responsibilities include technical leadership, architectural reviews, Scrum process ownership, hands-on engineering, operational readiness for 24/7 production, mentorship, and vendor alignment. Requirements include 5+ years in DBA, DevOps, DataOps, or Data Engineering roles with production database ownership, experience with large-scale data infrastructure, software engineering skills in Python, Java, or Go, Linux and AWS expertise, leadership experience, strong problem-solving, and communication skills. Advantages include experience with Big Data technologies (Snowflake, Kafka, Spark), Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible), prior tech lead experience, and AI integration experience. The position is full-time, hybrid, located in Tel Aviv, Israel.
