Freestar is seeking a Customer Success Manager to act as the primary technical advisor and strategic partner to publishers. The role requires 3-5 years of experience in Technical Account Management, Customer Success, or Ad Ops within Ad Tech. Candidates must have advanced knowledge of Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, and programmatic advertising including header bidding (Prebid.js). Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser developer tools, CRM and project management tools (HubSpot, Jira, Zendesk, Trello), and advanced Excel skills are required. Responsibilities include managing publisher relationships from onboarding to retention, monitoring ad performance, troubleshooting technical issues, collaborating with internal teams, educating clients on new technologies, and driving revenue growth. The position is full-time, fully remote, and offers mentorship and professional development opportunities. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What you'll do

  • Own publisher relationships end-to-end from onboarding through long-term growth and retention
  • Serve as primary technical point of contact and strategic advisor for premium and enterprise-level publisher accounts
  • Proactively monitor and analyze publisher ad performance to identify and implement technical optimizations
  • Perform high-level analysis to determine root cause of technical issues affecting ad delivery and performance
  • Partner with Support and Yield teams for escalations
  • Liaise daily with internal teams to escalate complex issues and advocate for publishers’ needs
  • Act as expert on Freestar’s product suite and programmatic ecosystem providing technical guidance and best practices
  • Educate publishers on new technologies and product features and assist in upselling technical solutions
  • Maintain deep understanding of each publisher's technical nuances, business KPIs, and long-term goals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with publishers’ technical teams through expert consultation and rapid issue resolution

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of success in a Technical Account Management, Customer Success, or Ad Ops role within the Ad Tech ecosystem
  • Advanced, hands-on knowledge of Google Ad Manager and Google Analytics
  • Deep understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including header bidding (Prebid.js), wrapper solutions, and ad serving principles
  • Familiarity with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience using browser developer tools for high-level debugging and issue identification
  • Experience with CRM, project management, and support tools (e.g., HubSpot, Jira, Zendesk, Trello)
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and experience interpreting complex performance dashboards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic and drive to complete technical projects
