Full job description

Viant seeks a Communications Manager to lead social media strategy, event content, and executive communications. Responsibilities include managing organic social channels, developing content strategies, leveraging AI tools, preparing speaker materials for major industry events, and ensuring consistent brand representation. Requires 8-10 years of B2B communications and social media experience, strong writing and editorial skills, familiarity with media and advertising, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Salary range $100,000 - $120,000. Hybrid work model. Location: Irvine, California.

What you'll do

  • Lead strategy and oversee daily operations of organic social media channels
  • Develop platform-specific content strategies and manage social calendar
  • Bring new ideas for expanding social presence including video-first storytelling
  • Champion video-first mindset and create compelling short-form content
  • Define and track KPIs, develop reporting frameworks with AI, deliver insights
  • Leverage AI-powered tools for content creation, sentiment monitoring, social listening, and workflow automation
  • Own development of speaker materials for events including abstracts, talking points, slide narratives, and prep sessions
  • Manage company speakers for external speaking opportunities
  • Ensure speaker readiness and consistent brand representation
  • Partner with Growth Marketing and Sales to establish strategic content intake processes
  • Ensure all stage moments reflect the Viant brand with precision and consistency

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in communications and social media, preferably in B2B
  • Meaningful exposure to social content management and event/speaker content
  • Strong social media instinct and understanding of brand voice building
  • High-level writing and editing skills across multiple formats
  • Familiarity with media and advertising landscape
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to push back constructively
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Collaborative, low-ego approach
  • Prior experience in a high-growth or publicly traded company is a plus
