Samba is seeking a Client Director to drive revenue growth and build strategic partnerships with Tier 1 brands. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the role involves consultative selling, managing complex sales cycles, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver client success. Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in data, advertising technology, or programmatic sales, a proven track record of meeting revenue targets, and strong knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem including display, video, mobile, CTV, and programmatic platforms. Responsibilities include expanding client relationships, executing strategic account plans, leading business reviews, and serving as an industry expert. The role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and willingness to travel as needed.

What you'll do

  • Own and expand strategic relationships with senior marketing leaders, brand managers, and media planning stakeholders at Tier 1 brands
  • Position Samba TV as an invaluable strategic partner and essential component of clients' core media and measurement strategies
  • Drive revenue growth by delivering annual revenue targets through acquisition of new brands and expansion of existing relationships
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans across key verticals
  • Consistently exceed revenue goals through consultative selling, complex negotiations, accurate forecasting via CRM, and driving quarter-over-quarter growth
  • Lead business reviews and strategic planning sessions with clients
  • Assess business objectives and challenges to formulate integrated solutions across Samba TV's product suite
  • Craft compelling, data-driven presentations that demonstrate deep industry knowledge
  • Serve as an industry expert and thought leader within assigned vertical(s)
  • Evangelize Samba TV's value proposition through client communications, events, and webinars
  • Contribute market intelligence and competitive insights
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across marketing, media, insights, and data teams
  • Foster relationships across all key functions to establish annual partnerships and long-term collaborative growth
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Data & Measurement Science, Account Management, and Marketing teams to deliver client success
  • Develop case studies and performance metrics
  • Provide client feedback to inform product development and innovation

Requirements

  • 10+ years of data, advertising technology, or programmatic sales experience selling directly to brands
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets and closing complex, multi-stakeholder solutions
  • Demonstrated success in selling to Tier 1 brands and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close
  • Extensive contacts at top brands and agencies (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem including display, video, mobile, CTV, and programmatic platforms
  • Knowledge of measurement, attribution, and data analytics landscapes
  • Deep knowledge of client planning processes and marketing planning cycles
  • Understanding of privacy regulations and their impact on advertising and measurement
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels
  • Consultative selling approach and talent for building value-based partnerships
  • Strategic thinker with ability to identify business objectives and translate them into solutions
  • Highly driven self-starter with obsessive focus on personal development and strong analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborative team player who adapts well to change and works effectively in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with rigorous attention to detail
