Full job description

OpenX is hiring a Data Analyst for the Business Intelligence team within Finance. The role is remote and requires 1-3 years of analytical experience, preferably in business intelligence, corporate finance, or strategic planning. Responsibilities include building reporting tools, automating data processes, performing ad-hoc analysis, and providing insights to support company initiatives. Required skills include strong SQL, experience with relational databases, proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite, and preferred experience with Python and Google BigQuery. The candidate must have strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Salary range is $93,500 to $110,000 per year plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you'll do

  • Build performance and revenue reporting tools for internal customers
  • Help build and automate data and reporting processes for the Finance organization
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting to teams across the company
  • Execute deep dive quantitative analyses translating data into actionable insights
  • Provide analytical and decision-making support for key company initiatives
  • Present analysis and share findings with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of analytical work experience, preferably within business intelligence, corporate finance or strategic planning
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Physics
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field preferred
  • Strong analytical abilities and ability to form succinct insights and recommendations from complex data
  • Curiosity to identify and solve difficult problems
  • Prior experience with relational database systems
  • Strong SQL skills required
  • Experience with Google BigQuery is a plus
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google suite of applications
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python preferred
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present to multiple levels of management
  • Proactive with strong bias for action
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
