StackAdapt is hiring a mid-level Business Data Analyst to work remotely in Canada. The role involves technical execution and internal customer relationship management, including writing complex SQL queries, maintaining data integrity across systems like Salesforce, building and optimizing data pipelines, and translating business requirements into technical specifications. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience with relational databases, ETL/ELT processes, and strong communication skills. Experience with Snowflake, Python, and AI/LLM literacy is a plus. The position offers a salary range of $84,000 to $99,000 CAD and includes comprehensive benefits.

What you'll do

  • Act as a customer-facing advocate and lead discovery sessions to understand requirements and define key metrics
  • Partner with RevOps, Marketing Ops, and CRM administrators to maintain data integrity across systems including Salesforce
  • Execute technical project work including writing complex SQL queries and investigating data sets
  • Translate high-level business goals into actionable technical specifications
  • Troubleshoot data issues and fulfill ad-hoc data requests
  • Build and optimize data pipelines in the first 3-6 months to ensure a robust foundation for analysis

Requirements

  • Proficiency with relational databases including complex joins, schema exploration, data lineage investigation, and query optimization
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for executive-level stakeholders
  • Ability to pivot between technical work and strategic business meetings
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
  • Familiarity with LLMs and AI literacy, including data model design for AI/ML integration
  • Python experience for automation or advanced analysis is a nice-to-have
