Full job description
Tatari is seeking a senior Convergent TV Planner, Strategy & Insights to develop data-driven media strategies for clients across linear TV, streaming, and digital video. The role involves leveraging proprietary and third-party measurement tools, AI-powered insights, and competitive intelligence to build audience-first media plans. Responsibilities include leading RFP responses, creating scaling and scenario plans, building pricing models, and translating strategies into client-ready presentations. The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in media or strategic planning within TV or digital video, strong knowledge of the convergent TV landscape, and a curiosity for AI applications in media planning. Preferred experience includes audience measurement platforms, attribution, programmatic environments, vertical-specific strategies, and CRM tools like Salesforce. Benefits include total compensation of $80,000-110,000 annually, equity, health insurance, 401K, education benefits, unlimited PTO, hybrid work with 2 days in-office weekly, and other perks.
What you'll do
- Develop audience-first media strategies grounded in data, competitive insights, and marketplace intelligence
- Leverage Tatari's proprietary measurement tools alongside third-party audience platforms to identify where a client's target consumer actually watches, and build a media plan around that
- Use AI tools to surface audience insights, identify patterns across campaigns, and pressure-test strategic assumptions
- Craft clear, compelling narratives that connect strategy to outcomes
- Lead RFP responses from brief intake to submission, managing timelines and coordinating inputs from various stakeholders
- Develop scaling plans for existing clients that show a clear path from current state to growth opportunities
- Create forward-looking scenario plans to visualize media investment potential across budgets and objectives
- Build pricing models, budget allocations, and investment recommendations aligned with client KPIs and Tatari's measurement framework
- Translate complex media strategies into client-ready visuals and executive summaries
- Incorporate AI tools into planning workflow to improve quality without sacrificing strategic rigor
- Create reusable pitch materials including one-pagers, case studies, vertical playbooks, and capability decks
- Contribute to building a repeatable, scalable planning system with templates, response libraries, and best practice documentation
- Track proposal performance and win/loss patterns to improve future submissions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in media planning, strategic planning, or client strategy role within linear TV, streaming, or digital video
- Working knowledge of the convergent TV landscape — linear fundamentals (dayparts, networks, ratings, reach/frequency) and the streaming/CTV ecosystem (platforms, targeting, measurement)
- Genuine curiosity about AI and how it can make media planning smarter — with hands-on experience or a demonstrated drive to build it
- Proven track record developing strategic media proposals and supporting new and existing business growth
- Experience working directly with brands, agencies, or advertisers in a client-facing capacity
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing strategic quality or missing deadlines
- Curiosity and desire to learn, with particular emphasis for AI
- Preferred: Knowledge of audience measurement platforms (Nielsen, Comscore, VideoAmp, iSpot, etc.)
- Preferred: Familiarity with attribution and conversion measurement for video campaigns
- Preferred: Background in agency planning, network sales planning, or DSP/programmatic environments
- Preferred: Experience developing vertical-specific media strategies (CPG, fintech, DTC, health & wellness, etc.)
- Preferred: Exposure to Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
