Full job description

Responsibilities include managing billing operations such as creating and updating billing rules (Subscriptions) in the billing platform before month end, updating subscriptions for indexation, reviewing revenue rules, working with sales operations on renewal AER, understanding deferred revenue, reconciling and billing SMS volumes, completing billing runs, consolidating usage reports, and handling customer invoice disputes including raising credit memos. Requirements include an MBA in Finance or related degree with 2-3 years experience, excellent communication skills, knowledge of billing/O2C functions in a global company, experience with statutory and internal audits, familiarity with automated financial reporting systems like Workday and NetSuite, and basic understanding of commercial terms in customer agreements (SOW, MSA).

What you'll do

  • Create and update billing rules (Subscriptions) in the Billing Platform before month end billing run
  • Update Subscriptions for Indexation
  • Review Revenue Rules associated with each Subscription
  • Work with Sales Operations to provide AER of any renewal
  • Understand Deferred Revenue expectations
  • Reconcile and bill SMS volumes
  • Instigate and complete billing runs for designated area each month end
  • Consolidate various usage reports into a single report for Billing Platform upload
  • Evaluate validity of customer disputes on invoices with Sales/Support
  • Raise credit memos and reissue invoices as appropriate to ensure collection

Requirements

  • MBA – Finance or any other finance degree
  • Minimum experience of 2-3 years
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge in the billing / O2C function of a Global company
  • Experience of handling statutory and Internal audits including query handling, schedule preparation etc.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems including Workday / NetSuite
  • Basic understanding of commercials terms in Customer Agreements (e.g. SOW, MSA)
