Full job description
Bilingual Japanese Sales Planner role based in Manila, Philippines (hybrid). Reporting to Hub Operations Lead. Support client acquisition and growth across JAPAC, focusing on Japan. Responsibilities include crafting proposals for Japan and SEA markets, collaborating with sales and analytics teams, conducting market research, developing media proposals, supporting pitch decks, ensuring quality and alignment with brand guidelines, and driving continuous improvement. Requires business-level Japanese and English proficiency, interest in digital media/programmatic, strong organization, communication skills, proactive mindset, and alignment with company values. What you'll do
- Craft and deliver accurate, thorough, and compelling proposals within RFP deadlines for Japan and SEA markets
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high-quality output
- Strategize with Sales Leads and in-market teams during pre-sale periods to grow existing business and win new opportunities
- Collaborate with regional Sales teams across SEA and Japan to understand client objectives and campaign goals
- Conduct market research and audience analysis to inform media strategy and planning
- Partner with Data & Analytics teams to develop data-driven insights and pre-campaign recommendations
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity and new product offerings
- Develop customised media proposals aligned with client requirements and strategic recommendations
- Support creation of visually engaging pitch decks and presentations including content localization
- Ensure all proposals and materials are accurate, well organised and aligned with brand guidelines
- Maintain attention to detail and timeline discipline to meet expectations across multiple markets
- Partner with Sales and Trading teams to customise MiQ’s product suite to client needs
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across regions
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and stakeholders in Japanese and English
- Build strong knowledge of MiQ products and capabilities
- Bring curiosity and creativity to find new ways of working and process improvements
- Be open to testing new approaches that improve efficiency, accuracy and impact
Requirements
- Business-level Japanese and English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Ability to understand complex commercial and technical concepts and communicate them clearly
- Experience working with Japanese stakeholders or markets is a strong plus
- Genuine interest in digital media, advertising and/or programmatic
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Clear, confident communication skills
- Proactive, learning-oriented mindset
